New-ish Music Video: “Coupe,” Future (2014)

I “liked” this the other day just so I could come back to it and I’m really glad I did. The animation is just so cool! Simple colors and shapes but every character is distinct. Plus, it works really well with the song.

Trailer: “Dear White People,” Oct. 17, 2014

Wow! This project has come so far in these two short years. Writer and director Justin Simien wrote the first draft of the script in 2005 and the film premiered at Sundance back in January of this year. After all of that, the official full-length trailer is finally here! Check it out above and share it with your friends if you’re feelin it.

New Music Video: “Two Weeks,” FKA Twigs (2014)

This is “Queen of the Damned" meets Kanye’s "Power" with a hint of Cee-Lo’s "Bodies.” The styling is so captivating.

New Music Video: “Get Her Back,” Robin Thicke (2014)

Ok, so if for some [completely understandable] reason you haven’t seen this video or you don’t know the context, let me break this down for you:

The video in and of itself is just “whatever.” But combine it with the fact that Robin Thicke actually messed things up with his wife Paula Patton IRL? It instantly becomes cheesy. I know he was going for a 2014 “Confessions,” but the text messages felt like a force and I started to wonder if this whole Robin/Paula break-up was a stunt.

But the song is simplistically nice. You know, qué será, será. Look out for that all-Paula-everything album next week.

Video: R&B Cover of the “Animaniacs” Theme Song

This is outrageous! I swear, people are so creative. This video, complete with an amazing vocalist and a saxophone solo, is part of Postmodern Jukebox's Saturday Morning Slow Jams series; they’ve also done Ducktales, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Pokémon, Gummi Bears and TMNT.
