Trailer: “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story,” Oct. 21, 2013
Though I’m a little disappointed that TLC’s story won’t be seen in theaters, it wouldn’t be right if I didn’t share this with you all. This “first look” doesn’t really give much away about the storyline but it does give both eager fans and ruthless skeptics a chance to scope out Drew Sidora, Lil Mama and Keke Palmer in their roles as T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli, respectively.
Starring: Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese, Ludacris
Genre: The sixth installment of a poorly acted but highly successful adrenaline-pumping action flick…. with cars.
Of all the trailers and commercials that debuted during the Super Bowl, “Fast & Furious Six” aka “Fast Six” was by far my most anticipated. I’ve been a die hard F&F fan since “2 Fast 2 Furious”—I was too young to watch the first one when it came out—so another opportunity to watch Dom and crew drive fast cars and do crazy ish is always welcome.
This picks up right where “Fast Five” left off. Everybody got off with the money and now they’re ballin’ out of control… but they can’t get back into the US. The Rock’s character (Agent Hobbs) offers them a deal; they’ll be pardoned if they help him take down another organization.
Oh, and Letty, the chick Dom loved and thought was dead, is back.
Directed by M Night Shyamalan, starring Will Smith, Jaden Smith, and Zoe Kravitz.
HOLY SHYAMALAN! Even his trailers have twist endings! Anyway, this looks like ‘Cast Away’ meets ‘Avatar’ meets ‘I Am Legend’ (obviously). But I’m more confused by Will Smith’s accent than anything else. Is it African? I’m intrigued and as of right now think seeing see the two as an on-screen father-son duo is reason alone to see it. Of note: despite the fact that they’re the only ones in the trailer IMDB has a full cast of characters in the movie.
