Music: “The Hardest Love Song In The World,” Yelawolf (2011)

Not sure how well Yelawolf’s “Radioactive” album did, but there were definitely some great tracks (including this song) on it.

Flashback Fridays: “That’s What I’m Looking For,” Da Brat (1999)

Bringing me all the way back to middle school, thank you and amen. Happy Friday, y’all. Go find what you’re looking for!

Still relevant, still appropriate. (I’m listening to this album right now, btw.)

New Music: “Songs On 12 Play,” Chris Brown feat. Trey Songz (2014)

So, Chris Brown’s new album “X" came out on Tuesday. I’m finishing up my first listen right now and was intrigued by this one. I mean, any shout out to R. Kelly’s "12 Play" is more than welcome in my world. But moreso it makes me stop to think about the people behind art that I enjoy and what it means to support (i.e., listen to the music of, watch the films starring, share the photos by) artists who have made personal choices ranging from questionable to downright outrageous.

Just some food for thought, I suppose. Feel free to leave comments about this topic, Chris Brown’s album or whatever else is on your mind.

Oh, and happy Thursday! :)
