Movie Mondays: “Seven Psychopaths” (Oct. 12, 2012)
Starring: Colin Farrell, Sam Rockwell, Woody Harrelson, Christopher Walken
Honestly, the premise of the movie is a bit ridiculous: Farrell plays a writer who is struggling to finish his screenplay (titled “Seven Psychopaths,” of course). His best friend (Rockwell) steals dogs and returns them to their owners for the reward money, alongside his partner-in-crime (Walken). When they steal the wrong dog (from the neurotic thug played by Harrelson), essentially things start to get real.
I saw this trailer last month when I went to see “Lawless” (btw, it had its weak points but overall was a gruesome and fun watch) and, although any plot that centers around dogs leaves something to be desired, I added the film to my IMDB Watchlist. And though I normally like to avoid reviews and ratings before I see a movie, sounds like we can set our expectations fairly high.
“Seven Psychopaths” hits theaters this Friday, Oct. 12. Who’s going?
